A unique and fascinating collection of materials which provide a wide range of teaching opportunities related to the National Curriculum especially in the area of historical enquiry, using the Regimental Archives of diaries, letters, photographs, uniforms and other museum artefacts to tell the stories of local men of the Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment), The Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regiment (29th/45th Foot) and The Mercian Regiment covering events of national interest and their relation to the local community and help to bring history alive.
