Archive material relating to The Mercian Regiment, The Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regiment, The Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derby Regiment) and to a lesser extent, the 45th (Nottinghamshire) Regiment of Foot and 95th (Derbyshire) Regiment of Foot their associated Militia and Rifle Corps is held at our Museum Archives in Nottingham.

 

Fees

 

Per enquiry, per soldier;minimum of £20.00

 

Research enquiry i.e. Battle, Memorial or Regiment; minimum of £20.00 per hour

 

Visits to the Archives for Research (these must be booked in advance); minimum of £20.00 per hour

 

Enquirers for commercial and/or financial gain (media/authors etc), are asked to let us know from the outset to avoid any misunderstanding.

Personal Service Records

 

It should be noted that the archives do not hold personal service records of those who have served in the Regiment.

 

There are many organisations that offer a service in regards to genealogy and military and regimental history. An internet search or The Army Museums Ogilby Trust (AMOT) website may assist you with your search.
